New product! Sea life magnets, they come in a pack of four including a crab, sward fish, flathead and squid inspired by my Christmas holiday to Gabo Island. Happy New Year...its been a while since i've blogged and I'm finally rejuvenated and ready to get back into Markets and Work!
I had a nice break in Far East Gippsland where I spent a week with my family on Gabo Island at a light house. I did have some time to do a few drawings for new prints and got most of my inspiration from being near the ocean. So there is new prints and products coming your way very soon!
You can see me next at the Abbotsford Convent on Sunday 17th January.

Skateboarding through the streets of Amsterdam.

I recently watched this you tube clip that my friend Max stars in, and had to share it with you all! Its about an enthusiastic guy who skateboards through the streets of Amsterdam and is helping everybody out while whistling to the tunes of Toets Tieleman's Turks Fruitt...
It did make me laugh. Check it out!

New design

I exposed this design to a screen a few weeks ago now but I wasn't too sure whether to put it onto T-shirts or Pouch's. My original thoughts were for a few new designs for t-shirts but I decided to go with the print on pouch's as it was quite small and fitted nicely onto a pencil case sized pouch. So far I've just made them in sky blue on black fabric with grey lining, and interfaced them for extra strength.

My long run of markets till Xmas starts this weekend on Sunday at the convent in Abbotsford! See you all there!

Currently I am busy getting prepared for the coming months. I have booked a fair few markets before Christmas, so today we went to our t-shirt supplier to stock up for the summer months. Did I mention a local supplier? Yes, the tees are made in Melbourne, sweat shop free and then hand printed by us in North Fitzroy! So I suppose there will be no standing for me, as the signs suggest in the above photo.

Today was a perfect day to have my photo shoot. I ended up with some great pictures and hopefully these will give you a better look at my designs. Thanks to the guys for being models again.

On another note the skirt and shirt market that just past was great, I had lots of positive feedback and got some great ideas from chatting with the passing crowd, and what guys would like on tees! So there is a few more new designs coming your way in the next few weeks and also lots more girls tees too.

So its that time again...that Velcor will attend the Skirt and Shirt markets in Abbotford. Its on this Sunday the 18th. So come down and check it out! I hope the sun will be shinning for us all.

I will be putting some shirts up very soon on my etsy page, so you can buy online! Otherwise if you see something you like and we don't have it there, shoot us an email and we will see what we can do to help!

The truck.

So I've been passing an old Austin Truck on my street for the last few months and one day ended up taking heaps of photos of it. I wanted to do two new designs for mens t-shirts and I think the idea just came to me from seeing it so regularly. I am very happy with what I've designed and think it looks great on tees, I've also printed this design onto kids tees.

The other new design was inspired by my brother who is a studying writing and editing part-time, the old school typewriter just seemed to be appropriate. I have also done this one on girls tees!

Welcome to the New Velcor blog page!

I've been meaning to start a blog for a while now as I have got a few designs together for this coming summer. It's been a busy past few months preparing and setting up this new venture that myself and a friend have gotten yourselves into, but it's all worth it at the same time.
We initially started off with stencil cut designs but going back to study has taught me more than a few new skills to develop my designs and get them were I initially wanted them to be.
This is one of my first t-shirt designs, it's been quite popular at the recent markets.

And I have also printed and made some small bike pouchs up.

My next market is at the Rose Street Artist Markets on Sunday the 11th of October, in Fitzroy. Come down and say hello and check out the new designs too. I'll be posting them up some time soon.
